SAY IT WITH CONFIDENCE AND FACTS: If you’re going to say something; then stand up and say it. Say it with strength and confidence.
Say it because you have seen the behavior yourself.
Say it because you can back it up with evidence. Say it because you genuinely have a moral obligation to do something, and you wouldn’t be able to feel good about yourself if you looked away and others suffered as a result.
Don’t preach hearsay like fact.
Don’t make things up because you don’t like someone. Don’t make ridiculous claims and spread them. Don’t be an agent of slander.
Don’t project your own insecurities. Don’t be ruled by your own prejudices.
Just because someone is different, doesn’t make them wrong.
Just because a woman chooses to submit, it doesn’t make her weak.
Just because a man chooses to dominate, doesn’t make him a misogynist. Just because someone enjoys receiving discipline, doesn’t make them abused.
Just because someone enjoys giving discipline, doesn’t make them an abuser.
Just because a woman has sex with lots of men, doesn’t mean she’s a slut. Just because a man sleeps with many women, doesn’t mean he is a user.
There are very few absolutes. There are very few rights and wrongs. As long as no one is having their consent violated, or anything particularly unethical or illegal is occurring, and the people involved seem happy; then you really have nothing to say about it. Every time someone vexatiously talks shit, all they are doing is undermining the credibility of any genuine warnings. While at the same time, slandering real people, with real lives, and real feelings. And it does take its toll.
So stop and think before you open your mouth to attempt to destroy the name of someone that you don’t like, just because they live differently from you. Because if all you are doing is attacking the lives of others, to try and make yourself feel better……. Well then, you’re just shit, and eventually, everyone will see it.
